I am a huge fan of the MoroccanOil (I blogged about it here back in 2010) but a friend recently posted on her blog about the Kerastase version. I have used Kerastase products before and some have been hit or miss. But I know they are overall a great luxury version of L'Oreal and I knew I would give in and buy a bottle of the Elixir. So far I am really impressed. It doesn't smell as good as the MoroccanOil but it has a great feel and my hair and silky and shiny when I use it. I need to do a half and half test on each side of my head to really compare them!

We had a New Year's Eve wedding and I don't usually wear anything too flashy when I work but I wanted to do something special. When we were at the Eukanuba dog show here in Orlando a few weeks ago I saw a Golden Retriever owner wearing this super flashy - almost diamond like toe nail polish. It was Essie's new LuxeEffects line in Set in Stones. I went and bought a bottle right away! I think it is meant as a top coat to add some sparkle and the Golden Retriever owner had it on top of a super silver polish already so hers was very flashy. I decided to wear mine on my fingernails and I just used two coats without a base polish. It was the perfect amount of New Year's Eve sparkle!

I saw this Laura Mercier makeup kit in my Bloomingdales Beauty Mailer and I had to see it in person. I love her eyeliners (the cake ones) and I thought I would enjoy the kit, too.
